Originally from the Green Mountain State, Vermont, Trish has worked her way down the East Coast, living in six different states, until in 1988, she came to Myrtle Beach, which she now gladly calls home!
Beginning in an onsite Sales Office in 1990, Trish has had hands on experience in administrative office work, human resources, marketing, advertising, customizing house plans, hiring and scheduling subcontractors, new construction sales, the listing and selling of previously owned homes, and sales management.
Trish began her career in onsite sales and marketing at The Preserve at Little River, a quaint neighborhood off Route 9 where she spent five years making friends and happy homeowners of retirees, many of whom were escaping from the cold and expense of the northeast. Although not a retirement community, activities at The Preserve are geared toward active retirement living.
At the onset of the development of the Carolina Forest area in late 1995, Trish was pursued to become part of Team Hall in the selling of homes at Waterford Plantation and condominiums at Windsor Green. Laboring in the cold of late November, Trish, as one of a three-person sales team for Hall Custom Homes, began in a sales trailer with no heat, no power, no telephones, no roads, no signs or billboards, no models, not even bathroom facilities. Over the course of her 11 years at Waterford Plantation, Trish worked with hundreds of folks, from all parts of the country, helping in the designing and building of their dream homes.
As Broker-in-Charge of Cohen & Associates Real Estate, Trish has worked successfully helping hundreds of clients and customers discover their housing and investment dreams along the Grand Strand
Originally a Carolina girl, my family moved to Northern Virginia when my dad was transferred with his job. There, I met and married my high school sweetheart and soul mate, earned a Bachelor of Science in Business, and raised two wonderful boys. As a family we loved camping and hanging out at the beach and dreamed of someday having a place at the beach.
Like many who visit the Grand Strand, we loved the laid-back lifestyle and friendly spirit of the people. We purchased a condo eight years ago as a vacation retreat and quickly knew this is where we wanted to live. Two years ago, we moved here full time.
My passion for real estate began during college. I would spend afternoons going to the newest communities, walking through the model homes, and pointing out features and amenities that would appeal to homeowners. Since moving to the Grand Strand, I’ve been reminded of just how much I enjoyed those college afternoons, and have devoted much of my time to unofficially helping out-of-town friends and family learn about the area, through my research, and previewing available homes on their behalf, when they are not in town. It was at this point I decided it was time to get my Real Estate License.
I worked in Telecommunications for over 25 years in various managerial positions in Billing Operations, Accounting and Financial Controls, and Financial System Analysis. My education, professional experience, and specialized research and compilation skills, have prepared me well for this transition into Real Estate and I could not be more excited to join Cohen & Associates Real Estate.
Trish Cohen was our real estate agent when we first came to Myrtle Beach and is who I have entrusted with my friends and family for their real estate needs. It was Trish’s prompt genuine care and desire to provide exceptional service that drew me as a client and, now as a licensed real estate salesperson, Cohen & Associates is exactly where I want to be.
